Production Process

Warping & Winding

Guarantee consistent tension of warp and weft threads throughout production, ensuring a smooth and even felt surface.

Weaving

Adaptable to various paper grades to meet the required warp and weft densities, delivering stable air permeability for press felts. Advanced circular weaving technology ensures uniform pressure distribution on the paper machine, making it suitable for high-speed operation and minimizing vibration under high-pressure squeezing.

Carding

Achieve uniform fiber distribution to support consistent dewatering performance of the press felt.

Needling

Fully automatic needle punching equipment ensures uniform fiber tufting and a flat, stable felt surface.

Oil Heat Setting

Precise temperature control delivers excellent mechanical compatibility. The felt is cooled on both upper and lower sides during processing to maintain high dimensional stability after setting.

Finishing

Following heat setting, customized treatments are available including washing, chemical finishing, on-line singeing and pre-pressing, to meet diverse application requirements of the press felt.

Sun Hong uses imported high-quality nylon raw materials from America, Switzerland and Germany, together with advanced production equipment from Germany, Italy, Sweden and other countries, to manufacture our press felts, ensuring superior performance, stability and long service life.

Authoritative Testing Equipment

Important testing instruments for quality control of semi-finished and finished products during the production process include portable air permeability testers, fully automatic fabric air permeability testers, etc.

The main testing instruments for on-site customer service include: felt moisture content tester, portable vacuum meter, air speed meter, stroboscope, and other testing instruments. Through these instruments, we can provide customers with comprehensive testing services.

Fiber Cement Felt

There are two main processes for manufacturing fiber cement boards and roofing sheets: the hatschek machine process and the flow-on machine process. Both methods require felts in the forming section. The prepared slurry is deposited onto the felt, which supports the material, dewaters, and forms the sheet.
